Structure Fire Seaview St at Beardsley Ave 9/18/10

Shortly after 10pm the calls began to flood into the Bridgeport Fire dispatch of a vacant 3 story dwelling on fire. Upom arrival command reported a fully involved 3 decker wood frame with the adjacent 3 story exposure also well involved. An external attack was undertaken using several monitors and two aerial trucks. sparks from the fire ignited several brush fires along Interstate 95 for which an additional engine company was dispatched. The origin fire building collapsed prior to my arrival on the scene, crews continued to pour water into the burning exposure building which appeared to be ready o collapse as well. Crews would spend an extended period of time on scene after the knock down to make sure all hot spots were extinguished.
