At approximately 4am four box alarms went out throughout the city all within about a minute of each other. I determined that this incident originally dispatched as Rosa Parks Blvd and Merrick which actually turned out to be Vermont and Merrick in the 5th Battalion was the closest. I rolled up to find the DFD crews working to vacant dwellings going throughout. With no other structures threatened they took up a defensive attack knocking the fires down with one tower ladder and multiple hand lines.
