Two Alarm Honorah At Dix 4/24/10
Detroit Fire rolled in to the scene of a box alarm to find one vacant multi dwelling going throughout and quickly spreading to the vancant multi and commercial structures on either side. A second alarm was dispatched and crews went to work containing the blaze from the exterior using multiple handlines as well as an aerial unit. The fire was contained to the 3 orginal buildings which was no small feat as all the large multi dwellings on the street were only separated by narrow alleys. The commercial structure sustain minor damage as fire fighters accessed it's roof quickly and were able to douse the fire and protect it from further extension
