Two Alarm Rathbone St 4/24/10
Shortly after completingtheir 30 minute rehab from the Honorah St Fire DFD was dispatched for a fire in a vacant apartment bilding on Rathbone St. The address was quite familiar as they had extinguished a fire in the vacant house just next door earlier that evening. The first due engine arrived to fine a 4 story vacant brick apartment building with heavy fire on floors 3 and 4 going through the roof. A second alarm was struck to bring an additional tower ladder and engines to assist the companies in containing the fire. The fire would eventually spread through all floors to the basement but the crews were ablble to protect the occupied exposures and prevent them from being taken up by the fire as well.
