Detroit Fire was dispatched for a vacant dwelling fire at 5500 Cadillac. They arrived to find a vacant two story flat going throughout. A defensive attack was taken up with multiple hand lines as well as the monitor on the the first due ladder. The radiant heat would cause the garages behind, the vacant building accross the street, all the rubbish piled in the street, as well as a phone pole to burst into flames. With the exposures brought under control the fire crews concentrated on dousing the now collapsed structure to bring the incident under control.
