Box Alarm Columbus At Grand River Blvd Vacant Dwelling Fire 04/02/11
As darkness fell on the Motor City another box for a vacant dwelling rolled in. This time it was on Columbus near the busy intersection with Grand River Blvd. The DFD arrived to find heavy fire going throughout the two story brick dwelling. As crews attempted to push in through the front others attacked the fire on the second floor from the exterior. The aggressive attack brought the fire under control in approximately 15 minutes.
