Morris Volunteer Fire

Structure Fire 20 Isaiah Smith Ln North,Morris,CT

Crews are hampered in their fire fighting efforts by downed live powerlines. The fire involved multiple vehicles , a Quonset hut type storage structure and an exposed house. Heavy fire was observed in the attic space as crews worked to ventilate the structure and bring the house fire under control. With the live wires arching several explosions were observed from the involved vehicles crews waited for CL&P to arrived and de-energized the street so that the fire fighters could safely bring vehicles and garage structure under control. Mutual aid crews and tankers from Watertown,Litchfield and Northfield assisted the Morris crews in the suppression effort.
