Second Alarm Commercial Structure Fire Nova Metal Finishing 361 Brookside Rd 01/03/18

originally dispatched for a commercial fire alarm sounding at Nova Metal Finishing which the assignmnt was 2 engines and a truck company. When first due Engine 8 arrived they reported heavy smoke showing and fire coming from the front of the 1 story ordiary construction commercial building. A full structure fire assignment was requested at that time and a second alarm sounded upon arrival of the deputy chief. The building which had mutiple hazardous materials stored within which was an initial concern. But companies quickly knocked down the flames using the monitor on the bucket of Tower Ladder 2 at ground level assault position. THe fire was declared under control after about 45 minutes. There was extensive structural damage sustained to the half of the building which was the point of origin.
