Multi Alarm Residential Sructure Fire Willow and Ludlow St 3/30/16

When the call went out for a you could tell fro the dispatchers voice this was going to be a working fire. First due Engine 6 who's quarters are several blocks up the street reported fire showing from the rear porches extending to the third floor on arrival. It would not be long before the incident command requested an additional engine, adding Eng7 to the assignmant that consisted of Eng6, 8, 2, Trk 1,Trk 3, and Rescue Eng1. With fire quickly engulfing the third floor of the occupied multi family and all residents accounted for the order to go defensive was given. Multiple master streams,the deck gun on Eng 8, and Truck 1's monitor were put into operation. Though the fire was held to the third floor the building was severely damaged and the residents would require the assistance of the Red Cross to find temporary shelter.
