What started out as a medical dispatch of a woman in distress was actually a working fire in an occupied multiple dwelling at 65 Fairview St in Waterbury. With the first due engine rolling reports came in of a fire on the third floor and a male party attempting to put it out. With Engine 6 reporting smoke in the area on roll up the structure response was filled out. As the crews stretched lines in Truck 1 set the ladder so crews could reach the third floor and the 2 floor overhang to assist the crews in overhauling and ventilating the structure after the fire was quickly The quick response by the companies kept the damage to a minimum, all residents escaped without incident, and the fire remains under investigation by the City's fire marshal.
