Room and Contents Fire 59 Branch St 03/09/12

Watebury Fire Fighters make fast work of a bedroom fire in a residence on Branch St. When Battalion 2 arrived on scene he reported heavy smoke and fire showing from the second floor of the 2 story wood frame. First due Engine 7 stretched on the dwelling and quickly knocked down any visible fire and the truck companies horizontally ventilated and checed for extension in the attic space which was negative. Crews spent the rest of their time overhauling the room and removing the burned contents. No injuries were sustained and the fire marshal was call to investigate the incident.
