Structure Fire Muliple Dwelling Glen St 03/23/18

Waterbury Fire was dispatched to a structure fire in an occupied multiple dwelling with possible residents trapped on Glen St in the City's southend. First due companies arrived to find all residents had escaped from the building and the rear porches on the second and third floors and fire lighting up one of the rooms on the second floor in the rear. As companies worked on the exterior fir lines were stretched in the front door to darken the interior fire. Significant fire was also found extended into the attic space requiring the roof to be opened. The incident was brought under control quicklybut the damage would require that the Red Cross respond to find temporary housing for the displaced residents.
