112 Cherry St Vacant 2.5 story Dwelling 12/25/16

Waterbury goes defensive on an overgrown vacant dwelling on a set back lot at the corner of Cherry St and Pryor Place. Companies arrived to find the structure well involvedand due to the property being vacant and in bad structural shape the decison was made for an exterior attack. The main body of fire was knocked down in about 40 minutes with a roof collapse and collapase of the "D" side of the structure. Companies would remain on the scenfor an extended period of time wetting down the hot spots as ovehaul wouldnot be possible due to the compromise of the building's structural integrity.
