Porch Fire 16 Willard St 7/4/10

Waterbury Fire received a call for a porch fire at 16 Willard St in the City's north end. As Battalion 2 rolled up on the scene he report smoke showing fro the second floor porch in the front of the house. Preparing for the worst case scenerio Engine 7 hooked the hydrant at Willard and Putnam to bring a water supply to the scene. An inch and three quarter attack line was pulled and the fire quickly extinguished containing the fire to the porch. The fire marshal's office was called to the scene to investigate the fire.
