Waterbury Fire was dispatched to 337 Lincoln St for a fire in the wall adjacent to the house's fireplace. Engine 6 arrived to find the building evacuated and smoke pushing from the structure. As crews entered the building the second due engine was instructed to stretch in from the hydrant. Rescue 9's crew during their search that the fire had in the wall to the second floor. With Truck 2 opening the roof the interior crews opened up the walls to reach the seat of the fire and bring the situation under control after about thirty minutes. During the process of the search of the structure fire fighter found and rescued the family's dog who was no worse for wear from the ordeal. The Red Cross was called to the scene to assist if finding shelter for the 2 adults and 2 children displaced by the fire and the fire marshal was called to the scene to investigate the incident.
