Mutual aid tankers and engines from Morris,Bantam, Woodbury, and Washington were brought to the scene and an engine from Watertown fire provided station coverage. Operations were initially defensive as the well involved structures had collapsed leaving little to save with suppression efforts, once an adequate water supply was established the fire was knocked down. The where abouts and condition of any occupants was initially unknown. Fire investigators were on scene from the Town Fire Marshal's office to start the process of determining the details and cause of the fire.
