Residential Structure Fire 14 Williams Dr 02/23/15

Prospect Volunteers were tones out for a residential structure fire at 14 Williams Dr. As engines began to sign on the air dispatch reported they had multiple calls from neighbors that flames were showing (never a good sign). The first arriving command car reported fire showing from all sides and that it was about to come through the roof and that an external attack would be the intial effort. A mutual aid engine from Bethany was also called to the scene to operate as the RIT team. The fire was brought under control in about 40 minutes but crews would bw switched out and extensive overhaul operations would be taken up. Crews were not allowed into the structure due to the integrety of the floors were in question due to the intensity of the fire. The residents of the home escaped without injury and the Red Cross as called to the scene to help with finding them shelter from the single digit temperatures.
