Below Grade Rescue Training 06/12/18

Fire companies from the Torrington Headquarters repond to the Torrington Lumber Company property for a party who has fallen from a retaining wall 25 feet to the river bank below. The response turns out to be a training exercise for a below grade rescue, The companies rigged their laddder truck with a pully systemto raise and lower the rescuers and stokes basket to extract the "victim" from below the street level. Thanks go out to the District Command officer and the companies on the exercise for inviting me over to the operation to photograph their training exercise.
