Chicken Coop Fire Meadow Crest Dr 12/07/10

Woodbury volunteers made quick work of a well involved chicken coop on Meadow Crest Dr. Neighbors call the fire department when they saw smoke and flames coming from an approximately 6'x6' chicken coop. Quick thinking on their part brought a rapid response from the fire department which kept the fire from involving the owner's house and other buildings in the proximity. The fire fighters knocked down the fire with an inch and 3/4 attack line and the tank water on the engine. The 6 chickens which were released from the coop by neighbors seemed no worse for wear.
