Watertown Volunteer Fire

Fully Involved Attached Garage Fire 194 West Rd 12/10/17

Watertown volunteers were dispatched for a house fire which started in the garage and was involving the cars inside and in the driveway. On arrival they found a fully involved attached garage with two cars in the driveway going throughout. The heavy fire was quickly spreading to the attached porch and threatening to extend to the main house structure. Mutual aid tankers were immediately requested from Woodbury and Morris as there are no hydrants in this section of town. With all occupants safely accounted for companies used tank water fom Engine 5, 2, and Tanker Engine 4 to knock back the fire while the mutual aid was enroute. The companies were able to get the main body of fire knocked down before it was able to extend to the home and would spend an extended period of time ovrhauling the garage and vehicles. The quick actions and response alll involved this family's home.
